BOULDER -- Blitzen and Prancer stood peacefully munching pine boughs as Tony Smith recounted the story of the reindeers' amazing escape from their pen.

``I think they flew,'' Smith says. ``That's the only way I can see that they could have gotten out. All the reindeer in the world, and I wind up with a couple of escape artists.''
