HIGH POINT -- Two doctors from the former Soviet Republic of Belarus are hoping a three-week visit to High Point will help them care for patients back home.

Andrei Martynowsky, 23, and Dmitriy Buyevich, 38, are learning about techniques used to treat patients at Carolina Regional Heart Center.

"We think your health care is at a very high level, and we think we can learn a lot here," Martynowsky said through an interpreter.
