Icon Group has acquired automotive and industrial parts maker Northern Rubber Co. Ltd of Retford, Nottinghamshire, from Tomkins plc. The acquired firm will now serve as Icon's main base, said managing director Richard Gogerty, who set up the rubber group in 1999 with a target of achieving sales of 50-60 million [pounds sterling] ($70-85 million) by 2005.
