Maybe Moravia isn't the first place you think of for Christmas shopping.
But merchants there are trying to change that. At the very least, they want local shoppers to think twice about leaving Moravia (or Locke) to shop somewhere else.
For the first time, the Moravia-Locke Chamber of Commerce is offering its own "currency" - Moravia dollars - for use with participating merchants. The chamber also is holding its first "Christmas in Moravia" on Saturday, with caroling, photos with Santa Claus, and wagon rides.
