BP has confirmed plans to restructure its refining and petrochemicals complex at Grangemouth, U.K., with the loss of up to 1,000 jobs, 40% of the site's total, over the next two years (CW, Nov. 7, p. 6). The announcement follows a 10-week review of Grangemouth's organization, asset structure, and financial performance, BP says. The job losses will be across the site's operations and include senior management. No figure is available as yet for estimated total savings, the company says.
