Sid Caesar's comeback might not be an enduring roadshow on the level of Michael Jordan, but to comedy fans it's every bit as special.

It has been nearly 50 years since Caesar, 79, was one of TV's original kings of comedy. Tonight, he makes a special appearance on the improv comedy series "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (WCVB, Ch. 5, 9:30).

On "The Admiral Comedy Revue," "Your Show of Shows" and "Caesar's Hour," the strapping Caesar helped shape TV comedy.
