A plan to knock down vacant properties in Borodino and build a community center hit a snag, Spafford Supervisor Gordon Ireland told town board members at last week's meeting.

The town wants to use a $90,000 community development grant to buy the former Fesko's store at the intersection of Routes 41 and 174.

But the project may be more expensive and complicated than anticipated, Ireland said.
