While U.S. concern over EC-92 intensifies and Europe continues to witness corporate restructurings and consortium forming throughout the continent, no single company has prompted as much worldwide speculation or apprehension as Sextant Avionique, France's newest avionics firm, and now Europe's largest. Sextant was formed earlier this year after Thomson-CSF and Aerospatiale pooled their avionics interests and immediately announced their intentions of competing directly with U.S. companies.
