A newcomer in 2001, Sweet Water joins a culinary trend among suburban restaurants to offer superb cuisine and fresh ingredients with imaginative presentations.

More haute than homey, the downtown Glen Ellyn restaurant is designed and decorated to dazzle. Its ambience and prices suggest a special date rather than a kid-friendly milieu.

Two vases of flowers centered in windows flanking the restaurant's entrance lift the simple Tudor storefront out of the ordinary. Open for dinner only, the 80-seat restaurant has a fresh flair ...
