ICA extended without quotas

At its meeting on July 3, 1989 the International Coffee Council agreed to extend the International Coffee Agreement for two years without economic provisions until September 30, 1991 (Resolution #347).

The Council also adopted Resolution No. 348 suspending quotas effective July 4, 1989. In accordance with the decision of the Council:

* importing members shall no longer issue certificates of reexport, re-shipment or transit;

* there shall be no limitation on imports of coffee from nonmembers;
