Abstract

An investigation is conducted of Internet usage across the food industry supply chain to determine whether distributors are currently using or are expected to use Internet technology at the same rate as retailers and manufacturers. Our findings show that there are no significant differences in Internet usage between distributors and retailers or between distributors and manufacturers, after controlling for food industry sector and firm size.
