"Zorba," a musical with book by Joseph Stein, adapted from the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis, music by John Kander, music by Fred Ebb, at the North Shore Music Theatre, Beverly, through Oct. 21.

"Zorba" is one of those forgettable musicals from the 1960s that is revived occasionally as a star vehicle, most memorably when Anthony Quinn, the film's Zorba, took the role for a revised version in 1983 that toured and successfully played Broadway.
