The Dordogne River flows across southwest France toward the Atlantic Ocean through a picturebook landscape of French history and natural beauty. Yellow cliffs crowned with romantic castles rise out of dense oak forests. Fortified medieval towns tell of bloody battles between French noblemen and English invaders. Vast underground caverns bristling with stalagmites take visitors back to the dawn of recorded time.
The Dordogne is where the French go to get away from it all. The British come here too - peacefully now - to rent 18th century ...
