LIVERPOOL's oldest and most famous department store name is to disappear after 150 years.
George Henry Lee will cease to exist next year when the Basnett Street store adopts the name of its parent group, John Lewis.
The decision has been endorsed by staff in the latest of a series of radical shake-ups at the store.
But for customers, ending a century-and-a-half of tradition may be a different matter. It is feared John Lewis will be confused with Lewis's.
