ABIX via COMTEX) -- General Property Trust (GPT) in Australia has made a strategic acquisition. On 13 September 2001, Mark Fookes, of GPT, noted that GPT has acquired the Bonner House complex adjacent to its Woden Plaza shopping complex in Canberra. The $A8.6 million purchase was made to give the Woden Plaza complex room to expand. GPT has a total property portfolio worth $A2.8 billion. Bonner House is a relatively small retail and commercial area, owned by the Australian Government. GPT has no immediate plans for the expansion of Woden ...
