EBBW VALE went within a whisker of pulling off the most surprising result of the season against champions Swansea at Eugene Cross Park.

Although nothing can be taken for granted this season in the Celtic and Welsh Scottish Leagues, only a third Vale win over the All Whites in 11 league meetings would have been a show-stopper.
