Arcor's Peruvian subsidiary has invested nearly US$10mil in the country since it opened a candy/sweets production plant in 1996. Of that amount, some US$5mil were invested in the plant and the remainder in technology and management. At present the Chancay plant operates at 60% of its full production capacity - the remaining 40% will be used to launch new products.
