Haakon Magnus was born in 1973, the youngest of two royal children. His parents made sure that his childhood was that of a typical Norwegian. He attended a public school and took part in the same activities as other Norwegian youth. This means, of course, that his upbringing was a lot different from that of the young princes in England, who are raised by nannies, attend private schools, and have security guards around them all the time.
