I am in complete agreement with Michael Toombs on the need for universal health care in this country (''U.S. needs universal health care,'' The Post, July 10); also, I agree with The Post's June 30 editorial, in which it was stated, ''We are the only western nation that doesn't have universal coverage, and that's a disgrace.''

I emphatically do not agree with Harold Vick's July 9 guest column in The Post, ''Beware of national health...
