THE Ulster Farmers' Union confirmed yesterday that a first load of live sheep exports been delivered to a Republic of Ireland processing plant.
The Union says this is a very welcome development for the local farming industry and the UFU will now be working to ensure normal trade resumes quickly.
UFU President Douglas Rowe said: "We are very relieved that eventually sheep exports are underway.
