The US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) has accepted the first installation upgrade of a strategic satellite communications (SATCOM) terminal as part of a $100 million modernization program awarded to Harris Corp. in 1998. The acceptance of the SATCOM site was recognized in recent ceremonies attended by nearly 100 representatives of the US Army and Harris.
