MARINA DEL REY, CALIF. -- Psychosis and aggression are two of the most common indications for the newer antipsychotics in children, said Dr. Robert L. Findling of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland.
Differences in efficacy, adverse effects, pharmacokinetics, and neurophysiology must all be taken into account when considering these agents for this patient population, he said at a psychopharmacology update sponsored by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
