There are benefits to not having siblings - more time in the bathroom and, perhaps, less roughhousing.
But for the most part, siblings give the guidance and experience that few others can offer.
For years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley has provided local children with few or no siblings the experience of brotherly or sisterly love.
But nowadays, volunteers for Big Brothers and Big Sisters are becoming harder to find.
