UQM Technologies Inc., Golden, Colo., has developed the Integrated Electric Traction System (INTETS), a versatile propulsion system that can be used on electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. This integrated electric powertrain combines a brushless permanent neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnet motor, epicyclic single-stage gearing, off-the-shelf differential components, parking pawl and an optional integrated inverter.
