MILAN -- Nino Cerruti took his last runway bow Monday for the fashion house that bears his name, 34 years after designing his first clothing collection.

"Yes, it was my last show," said Cerruti, with tears in his eyes. "Now I have to come up with something new to occupy my time."

Cerruti, who is 70 years old, left his post as creative director earlier this month following the sale of the remaining 49 percent stake in his company to the fashion group Fin.part, which is quoted on the Italian bourse.
