ANGRY Clydeside shipworkers yesterday steered away from immediate strike action in protest over 1,000 job cuts, opting instead for a 'campaign of opposition' through talks with management.
Workers' leaders will also meet Ministers in the coming days with a view to setting up a task force to bring new orders to the river.
