Nanomaterials have the potential to provide unique mechanical, optical, electronic, magnetic, and chemical properties to components in every industry from aerospace and automotive to energy and electronics. They do exist today, in metals and coatings as well as electronics and micro-devices, and they hold great promise for the future. The real-world applications of nanotechnology will be discussed at the ASM Materials Solutions Conference in Indianapolis on 5-6 November.
