Gadolinium helps kill deadly brain tumours.(Brief Article)

Gadolinium compounds, which are contrasting agents used in magnetic resonance imaging, are capable of helping to kill the tumours they are used to locate.
Researchers at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, have shown that the compounds are absorbed by the tumour's DNA. In combination with thermal neutron treatment, gadolinium can destroy the DNA on which tumours depend to survive.
