Comelec gears up for plebiscite on ARMM.(Main News)

The Commission on Elections (Comelec), fresh from the May 14 polls, geared up yesterday for the plebiscite on the expanded Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

The Comelec, headed by Chairman Alfredo Benipayo, continues the preparations amid a warning of ARMM Governor and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairman Nur Misuari that the plebiscite would be illegal because it would violate the 1976 Tripoli Agreement.
