WE ALL know how plans for a party can suddenly spiral out of control.

One minute you are organising an intimate bash for a few close friends, the next you find yourself hiring a marquee and stocking the garage with booze.

Builder Steve Elsdon, however, has gone one step further - he booked the Royal Albert Hall for a night and now finds himself with 3,900 seats to fill.

Not surprisingly, he is beginning to wish he had stuck to mixing cement in South Wales.
