Of all major US industries, aerospace is one of the heaviest users of computer-aided design, drafting, analysis, and NC programming (CAD/ CAM/CAE). At the same time, the industry is highly diversified, ranging from assemblers of aircraft and spacecraft, through builders of engines and landing gear, to suppliers of subassemblies, components, and parts.
