PROPOSALS for Scotland's first National Park were welcomed yesterday as a boost to the country's ailing tourism industry.
A detailed blueprint published by the Scottish Executive shows that the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park will be even bigger than originally envisaged.
The entire park will cover 600 square-miles, and a population of 14,000.
It is expected to open next April and will stretch from a southern gateway at Balloch to Crianlarich and Loch Earn in the north and from Argyll Forest Park in the west ...
