The special guest who made her appearance at Hampshire schools last Thursday was the one and only Miss America 2001, Angela Perez Baraquio.

Miss America was invited to visit the Hampshire students as part of a teaching program initiated this year in the Community Unit District 300 schools. The program is being used to teach the values necessary in every society and is helping to prepare the students for a lifetime of success with the acknowledgment of character traits.
