Potential Export Markets and Sources of Foreign Direct Investment

The economic future of the United States is more closely tied to Europe than to Asia. This belief runs counter to the prevailing wisdom in some quarters. However, Europe is on the verge of integrating into one large (350 million people), affluent market that is relatively open to U.S. exports.
