On busy days when the dishwasher breaks and the dining room is jammed, Sunanta Fogle dreams of returning to Thailand.

"I'm getting old," she says wearily, pushing a strand of shiny-black hair behind a delicate ear. Fogle's smooth skin and trim figure belie her words.

When she began cooking her suave Thai curries and stir-fries in a leased kitchen in a tavern on West Market Street, Fogle was 41 years old. Now, three moves and a truckload of awards later, she is 57.
