Sauk Prairie's baseball team was up and down all year, and Tuesday's WIAA Division 1 Madison Memorial sectional was no different.

After upsetting Memorial in the early afternoon semifinal, the Eagles came up one run short in the final against sectional-favorite La Crosse Logan, losing 6-5.

"When you start playing good baseball, it's contagious," Sauk Prairie coach Bill Dettman said.

"It just didn't happen at the end for us."

A solid pitching effort by Clay Brabender kept Sauk Prairie close in the championship ...
