TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras -- An expert on the Mayan Empire said Friday that his team has uncovered the tomb of a Mayan king from the sixth century.
The remains, believed to be those of a king, were discovered in a massive archaeological park 120 miles west of the capital of Tegucigalpa, said Japanese anthropologist Seiichi Nakamura. The king had not yet been identified.
