IT'S May and it's time for "World Trade Week." This celebration of international trade now encompasses the whole month. All the associations and agencies are busy with breakfasts, lunches, harbor tours and golf tournaments. But to be cynical, does the greater community know about these events? And do they understand what international trade means to the local economy?

An honest answer would probably be: "No."
