Is Lands' End up for sale?

Business Week magazine, quoting sources close to the situation, reported Friday that company founder and chairman Gary Comer was shopping for a buyer. Comer, 73, owns 55 percent of the shares in the Dodgeville-based catalog retailer.

The report said Sears, Roebuck & Co. had looked into acquiring the casual wear retailer last fall but hasn't yet made an offer. Wal-Mart Stores and May Department Stores have also taken a look but haven't bid either, the magazine said.
