MADISON -- Water, and prosperity, could soon be flowing along U.S. 311.
The Stokes County Water and Sewer Authority, with the support of Walnut Cove and Madison, is applying for state funding to build a water line between the towns. The line, which would extend approximately eight miles along U.S. 311, would provide Walnut Cove with an alternate source of water and could increase development in the area.
