Shopping for spectacular foliage plants to jazz up outdoor containers? Don't overlook the houseplant aisle.
Many plants ordinarily thought of as houseplants have bright- colored foliage that will combine beautifully with outdoor bedding plants.
How about Moses-in-the-bulrushes (Rhoeo spathacea)? The dark green and purple leaves that make Moses a favorite indoors add drama to outdoor plantings, too. Outside in a sunny container, the purple color grows even more intense.
