Last month pianist Dave Brubeck celebrated his 80th birthday by performing with his quartet and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl on August 16. A native Californian, Dave Brubeck first began performing in the late 1940s. With a career spanning more than half a century, Brubeck is one of the most honored names in the jazz world.
