NEW YORK -- Jim Weber has been named president and chief executive officer of Brooks Sports.

Weber has served on the company's board of directors for two years, and, until recently, worked as managing director at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray in its Seattle investment banking practice.

Weber succeeds Eric Dreyer who left the company Monday to pursue other interests, according to a Brooks Sports spokeswoman.
