PHOENIX _ Maybe at some point it will matter that the Dodgers are not, or have not been, manufacturing runs as they talked about all winter and all spring.

In their first 10 games they have five sacrifice bunts, but have yet to hit behind and advance a runner. Their leadoff hitters went into Thursday hitting .175 (7 for 40) and had yet to draw a walk. In a 2-0 loss to Curt Schilling in the first game of this series, they had the first hitter in the sixth and eighth innings reach base but they never got him into scoring position.

Right now, that is almost irrelevant.
