ONCE MORE it is Hanukkah. This Jewish winter festival is best known as an eight-day period of fun. Hanukkah is a time for songs and stories, gifts and games. And, oh yes, there's food. Always, food.
Hanukkah is a time for lighting the traditional menorah, a nine-branched candelabrum. In synagogues and homes, the nightly lighting of the menorah is a central event of the season. It symbolizes a miracle that occurred about 2,200 years ago.
