CLAIMS Direct is facing scrutiny from the Department of Trade & Industry over anonymous internet postings which ramped its shares.

The DTI is looking at a complaint from a former franchisee claims manager who was attacked in the postings. A Claims Direct spokesman confirmed yesterday that the company had been told by the DTI of the complaint. The spokesman said Claims Direct would co-operate with the DTI if asked to do so.
