According to "Tehran Times", the UK's Pilkington glass has reached agreement with Qazvin glass company to construct a 180,000 tons per annum float glass plant, the first significant foreign joint venture of its kind since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the company announced. Pilkington, one of the world's oldest and biggest glassmakers, said in its statement that it would take a "major equity" in Qazvin glass.
