WILL HIGHLIGHT 350TH ANNIVERSARY OF GARDINER'S ISLAND

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The grant from King Charles I of England that conveyed Gardiner's Island to Lion Gardiner will be read aloud on Sunday, April 23, at an East Hampton, Long Island, ceremony marking the 350th anniversary of the grant.

Representing her family, which has maintained the island since 1639, Alexandra Gardiner Creel Goelet will speak in response.
