Fans of the Newsboys can rest easy. Phil Joel isn't leaving the Australian Christian pop band. It's just that these days the long-haired blond singer and bass player has a personal story to tell, so he's using his spare time to venture out on his own.
Joel, 28, released his first solo project, "Watching Over You," late last year. And even before he completes his first tour without his Newsboys band mates, he's already working on a second that's due out in October.
About the only thing that might prevent that release is if his pen runs dry. It's doubtful he'll run out of ...
