LEGAL AID SOCIETY PROGRAM COMMEMORATES GIDEON DECISION

NEW YORK, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Because this year is the 25th anniversary of the United States Supreme Court decision in Gideon v. Wainwright, which serves as the bedrock for the development of the right to counsel, The Legal Aid Society is marking the occasion by sponsoring a program on Gideon on Saturday, Oct. 22, 1988, at The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, 42 West 44th Street.

The registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the program at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall with opening ...
